πιστός - faithful

talk about being faithful!
william tyndale
keeps blowing me away

-----------------------------------
...master Tyndale took in hand to translate the Old Testament, finishing the five books of Moses... at what time Tyndale had translated Deuteronomy, minding to print the same at Hamburg, he sailed thitherward; upon the coast of Holland, he suffered shipwreck, by which he lost all his books, writings, and copies, his money and his time, and so was compelled to begin all again...

''Orthodox'' church?

~ Archbishop Michael of the Greek Archdiocese of North and South America ~ says...

''...There exists in Tradition elements which, although not mentioned in the New Testament as they are in the Church today, are indispensable to the salvation of our souls...''

Dude, I dig your glasses on that pic, but what Bible do you read???

Republic of Serbia

News on life in Serbia...

  • done with my 3rd semester in Bible College! Lord willing I'll be graduating in December!
  • 10 day outreach to Serbia in April went amazing! Had an amazing team, amazing co-leader, amazing church we served in, amazing time we spent together. Thank you all for your prayers, it made all the difference. We did construction work, painting and cleaning the church building. We also went outside and got to play soccer with some guys in the city. We then went to Belgrade where we prayed for the city all night after all the doors seemed to have slamed down on us for having Bible studies for youth in the city. God kept us busy all 10 days, it was great;
  • the end of semester came quick and next thing I knew I was on my way to Serbia! But than again the next thing I knew I was on my way to Croatia!
  • I spent 4 days in Split visiting my friends. Such a bitter - sweet blessing. That place holds a huge piece of my heart. Being reunited with them all and than spliting again was sad, or to use more profound expression – it sucked;
  • I went back and am currently living in the northest city of Serbia called Subotica. I'm renting a sweet communist apartment close to the center. Elevator doesn't work, my stove takes up to 30mins to heat up a cup of water, my neighbor loves partying, but I know it's perfect for me;
  • ministry that I'm doing here is leading worship and teaching Bible studies for youth. It's been great so far. We always have some new young people show up for youth Bible studies which never ceases to blow me away! God really blessed me with an amazing church to serve with;
  • as always, it's hard to adjust to a new place, but thankfully being here for around 2 weeks this place is starting to feel like home away from home. There's a lot of things I like about his city... ''Story Cafe'' - a really cool cafe that I find myself often drifting to in search for good coffee with my friends. ''Lake Palic'' - a lake nearby where city sewage keeps flowing into, but hey, it's a lake. ''Boss'' – chineese food place, get the chicken in sweet and spicy sauce and thou shalt surely die in awe. ''Dudova suma'' – a big park with cool dirt paths where people get mugged at night or early in the morning (that's what they say). ''Vasar'' – a huge market where you can get anything and everything, legal or illegal, used or new. The guy that sells big knives yells at you if you touch them. Don't do it. ''Plato'' – bookstore that I have to restrain myself from going to cause I can't help but buying something I later regret;
  • oh and I just got glasses today. Feels weird. Looks weird. It's weird;

Things yet to happen...
  • I hope to stay in Subotica and serve during the whole summer. We'll see how that turns out to be;
  • I also hope to go back to Bible College in fall and graduate. You can pray for provision in that. Lord's been faithful for last 3 semesters, so I have no doubt He'll be faithful to finish the work He started;
  • we're praying about starting an English club here. It will most likely happen. The question is time and place. Would be an awesome tool for reaching out;

Prayer requests...
  • Serbia! Pray for Serbia! For God to raise up leaders in this nation;
  • Split! Pray for Split! Laborers are few, ministry is big, but Lord always has everything in control!
  • Provison for the summer;
  • Teachable heart over the summer;
