Time to STEP OUT!

Well, well, well.

- My college life is coming to an end! Two years never went faster in my life! December 14th should be the date of my graduation. And than life in Serbia awaits! Scary and exciting, bitter and sweet. Serbia needs to hear the Gospel though, and I set that to be the goal of my life – my nation to know God loves Serbians so much that He gave His only begotten Son, that if they believe in Him they should not perish, but have everlasting life;

- Last two months:

Can't help it but start this with the girl who stole my heart! Her name is Wendy, and she's one of those girls who unintentionally makes you feel lame, stupid and ugly all the time, cause she's so much more amazing, smarter and prettier than you are. She brought a new meaning of grace in my life. She's cool like that;

- Life at Bible College has never been more stressful and overwhelming. I'm taking 23 credits, the amount I need to be able to graduate. Lot of homework devoured my social life like I devoured beef jerky someone blessed me with yesterday. Still, Lord's teaching me a lot, and He's been speaking to me so much this semester;

- I got to co-lead a 10 day outreach to Serbia! Me and other 7 guys went to Subotica. We helped out with english camp in church, played basketball and soccer on the streets, and lifted up the city and country in prayer daily. We believe Lord did a lot, so we'll trust Him with the results;

Next two months:

- Lord willing I'll be graduating from Bible College in less than a month. Can't believe two years went by so fast. Everything about those years is amazing. All the ups and downs, all the valleys and mountain tops, all the breaking and restoring... it all feels worth it now looking back at it. I'm so thankful God never gave up on me, cause I gave up on myself daily;

- After graduation I'm praying about moving to Subotica, Serbia. There's a great need for a full time servant in a church. The door is open, so Lord willing I'll step out. I would be leading worship and teaching Bible studies for youth, but above all share the Gospel with the lost, cause that's where my heart's at. Wendy will be joining me in February, once she's done with her internship at Bible College;

It's time to STEP OUT!

God's been doing so much in both my and Wendy's heart. We've been praying a lot for Serbia and God keeps putting south Serbia on our hearts – the least reached part of my country. Most of big cities down there have no believers, therefore no churches, therefore no gospel, therefore no hope. God's putting those cities on our hearts, and we're praying to be sent out there. My crushing point was the other night when we sang songs about the blood of Jesus and greatest day in history. I couldn't open my mouth to sing cause I couldn't stop thinking about people down south, and them not knowing about the precious blood of Jesus and the greatest day in history. But not only that – there's no body to tell them. And I'm not okay with that;

The reason why there is nobody in south is lack of laborers of course, but I'll be bold to say because of lack of heart and care as well. I shared my desire to go south with many believers in Serbia, and many responses I got were: It's hard. It's impossible. Hard soil. Waste of time. They won't listen. No fruit. You'll be persecuted. Go somewhere else. It's a stupid idea; This just encourages me to go down, just because nobody else is thinking about it - 0.05% Serbians are considered born again believers. I'm not okay with that number;

Prayer requests:

- I pray that God puts on people's hearts to support me and I could be sent out. God always took care of financial part of my life in some miraculous ways. I never liked talking about it, but it is a need, and I think people should know about that need;

- I spent two years in Bible College ''bubble'', and now I'm stepping out into ''real'' world. Please pray that God would equip me with everything to remain strong and let nothing move me but Him alone;

- Please pray that I never lose heart for my nation;

“I have found that there are three stages in every great work of God: first, it is impossible, then it is difficult, then it is done.” - Hudson Taylor;

Summah of 2010

News on life in beautiful Serbia...

  • can't believe the summer break is almost over! What?!;

  • the World Cup is over, Serbian squad did embarrassing again. I was weary with my groaning, all night I made my bed swim, I drenched my couch with tears. My heart was broken;

  • I spent my summer like planned in Serbia - I was serving in Calvary Chapel of Subotica. Great, relaxing time with friends, leading worship, teaching youth Bible studies, playing soccer, eating burek and learning at Lord's feet;

  • being in a new city was quite challenging at the beginning. Being my own boss with what I do with my time was even more challenging considering the level of maturity I'm on. But Lord totally spoke to me through the words of David and taught me to ''number my days so I may gain a heart of wisdom'' (Psalm 90:12);

  • looking back I can see Lord using me in many random ways, but even more import, I can see Lord shaping me into more of Him and less of me this summer. Likewise, burek shaped my body so I gained 10 lbs;

  • In June I got to make a trip down to Uzice (south Serbia) to visit friends! I was so encouraged by their faithfulness and perseverance. We got to talk about the ministry going on, pray for the city, and go to an orphanage for the afternoon. Pray for them! Their names are Chris and Mirjam!;

  • I also made a trip to Topola in July for a weekend conference. Some life changing Bible studies and sweet fellowship;

  • Lord totally used soccer as my tool to reach out! Soccer is pretty much a religion in Serbia. I was randomly going to my neighborhood or nearby lake to play soccer. It was such a great way to meet people, and of course shine with Jesus on the court;

  • I also got to go to Belgrade every other Friday for the Bible study that my pastor from Subotica is teaching! Lord opened the doors for us to have a Bible study in Belgrade every Friday starting in August!!! Whaaaaat!!!;

  • currently I'm getting ready to leave Subotica in two weeks and head home for a week before my last semester at Bible College starts! Everything about it makes me so excited!;

Things yet to come...

  • I'm gonna be heading home for a week in August. I hope to be a light to my unsaved dad;

  • Bible College starts in September! Lord willing I'll be graduating in December! What, what! Crazy stuff...;

  • Jesus is coming soon... I just felt like putting that in ''things yet to come'' section. It felt right.;

Prayer request...

  • Pray for SERBIA! ''The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death upon them a light has shined'' (Isaiah 9:2) – this is my prayer for Serbia;

  • Pray for UZICE! South Serbia is painfully unreached, it needs your prayers, so do the laborers;

  • Provision for Bible College;

πιστός - faithful

talk about being faithful!
william tyndale
keeps blowing me away

-----------------------------------
...master Tyndale took in hand to translate the Old Testament, finishing the five books of Moses... at what time Tyndale had translated Deuteronomy, minding to print the same at Hamburg, he sailed thitherward; upon the coast of Holland, he suffered shipwreck, by which he lost all his books, writings, and copies, his money and his time, and so was compelled to begin all again...

''Orthodox'' church?

~ Archbishop Michael of the Greek Archdiocese of North and South America ~ says...

''...There exists in Tradition elements which, although not mentioned in the New Testament as they are in the Church today, are indispensable to the salvation of our souls...''

Dude, I dig your glasses on that pic, but what Bible do you read???
